Ŀ
 INSTALLING MULTIPLE ADAPTERS MANUALLY

The following steps describe the method of installing two network
    adapters:

    1. Simple plug on the RL2000A PNP network adapters in the server.

       Suggestion:
The cards are factory default to auto-switch the operating mode.
But should the cards are in non-PnP mode, you will need to run
RLASET configuration program. It will auto-configure a conflict
free setting for both cards. Then recode and save the configuration
        and continue.

    2. Run SERVER.EXE.

    3. At the NetWare prompt, type:

	   : LOAD RLPNPA

If the I/O port of the two adapters are 280h and 300h, with
IRQ number A and 3 set respectively, then your screen displays
the following messages when you load the server driver.

	  Loading module RLPNPA.LAN
          Supported I/O port values are : 280, 300
		I/O port : 280 <ENTER>

The I/O ports and IRQs of the two adapters are AUTOMATICALLY
       detected by the server driver.

    4. To load the server driver again, type:

	     : LOAD RLPNPA

The screen displays the following messages:

Do you want to add another frame type for a previously
	  loaded board? <n>

	  Loading module RLPNPA.LAN
          Supported I/O port values are : 280
                I/O port : 280 <ENTER>

Previously loaded module was used re-entrantly.

    5. Bind IPX to both the network adapters.

                -----------------------------------------

Ŀ
 COMMAND LINE OPTIONS

If you choose to load the server driver from the command line
instead of from the INSTALL.NLM program, you may need to
specify command line options. Apart from the standard command
line options of PORT, INT, FRAME, etc, the server driver provides
one additional command line option for installing multiple adapters.

    1. BOARD

       Valid board number are : 1 - 4

This option is used to specify which board to initialize
if there are multiple boards installed in the system.
If the board number is not specified, the driver will detect
all the I/O ports of the boards for user to select.

You may specify the board number you require when loading the
       server driver, for example:

	   : LOAD RLPNPA BOARD=1

                -------------------------------------------
